The 2014 BITD Vegas to Reno will be one for the books. There are 301 entries total that includes Buggies, Trucks, UTVs, Motorcycles, Quads, and even a Snowmobile….yes a Snowmobile! Do to the unusual mistakes in qualifying by a few of the top drivers, this years race should be very interesting, It looks like race mile 173 there has been a course change today that is not on any of the GPS downloads. Due to heavy rain the course will make a sharp right and go around the not so dry lake bed. Looks like race mile 173 can make or break a racer’s race. Casey Folks said that if you miss the turn your Vegas to Reno will be over! Wasn’t there a sharp left at the 2014 Mint 400 that played a significant role? BITD will start to enforce pit speed limits at the year’s Vegas to Reno. In this years race there are 15 pits. BITD will select 3 random pits out of the 15 to monitor with a radar gun. The speed limit is 25 MPH. Racers will be penalized 1 minute for every mile per hour of speed. so if you are clocked at 27MPH in one of the monitored pits you will get a 2 minute penalty. Looks like the 2014 BITD Vegas to Reno will be very interesting!!
