It’s a hard thing for some of us off-roaders to take a brand new truck, cut it apart, and turn it into a desert warrior. Most of us would like to have that extra added ground clearance, to put on a nice wheel and tire combo, and enjoy a nice plush ride. For this project, we decided to give Camburg Engineering a call and see what they had available on the market for the 2005 and up Toyota Tacomas. After talking to the crew down at Camburg, it became apparent that they had exactly what we were looking for. They recommended a set of exclusive Camburg CRS 2.5 coil-overs, along with a much strong and longer lasting, uni-ball upper a-arm assembly. The upper a-arm assembly uses a custom machined spacer to attach at the stock spindle, and on the other end, connect to the massive 1″ uniball pivot. Out back, a set of stock length replacement Deaver springs were put in place of the stock units, and Bilstein 5100 shocks were used to smooth out the ride.
